About Everblossom Art

Hi! I’m Ruby Barrus, the Artist behind Everblossom Art. Thank you for being here!

I specialize in calligraphy, hand engraving, and fine art bottle painting, but I love to dabble in just about anything creative, which you will see when you visit my shop. Let’s just say I’m addicted to creativity. I usually spend my days tinkering about in my cozy 2nd floor art studio, located in my 1912 historic home located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest state of Washington, which I share with my hilarious husband, two taller-than-me grown children, and 5 fur babies (4 cats, 1 dog).   

I only started seriously exploring my creative side a few years ago, as a way of healing from the grief caused by losing my mom in 2018 after being her full-time caretaker for a little over a year. I found calligraphy first (rather, I should say it found me), and soon after, hand engraving, followed by painting with watercolors, digital art, and then the fine art of bottle painting. Over time, as I continued to practice these skills taught by wonderful teachers, I discovered that it was time for me to turn my passions into my new mission in life, and so Everblossom Art was born. With every undertaking, I aim to infuse joy in artistry, paying particular attention to detail in hopes of sharing beauty and positivity, and to bless and inspire, adding more happiness to the world, one art piece at a time. I am grateful to all of my mentors in these art forms for sharing their gifts and allowing a gal like me to continue to blossom as I approach my 2nd half century of life on this planet!

  When I’m not sequestered in my studio, I enjoy all things martial arts (specifically the Internal Arts of Qigong and Tai Chi), cooking for my family, playing with my pets, and of course learning new artistic skills.
